Yard Waste

Leaves - Brush - Compost Disposal

You may dispose leaves, brush, and regular yard waste compost materials at our yard waste disposal site located at

550 N 11th St., Cameron

Hours: Monday - Friday
Typically 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Saturdays: 7:00 a.m. to Dusk

Please, no bags, not even the 'eco friendly paper bags' - per the DNR these can take YEARS to dissolve. No stumps, no nails, no metal, no trash of any kind! Thank you for your cooperation.

This site is ONLY for VILLAGE RESIDENTS! Cameron zip code is large and if you have a 54822 zip code this does NOT mean you automatically are a "Village Resident" - please confirm by your real estate tax bill - if you don't receive a tax bill for your primary residence from the Village of Cameron then you are not a village resident.

Village residents pay for this site. Please check with your Township where to dispose of such materials if you live outside of the village limits.

Cameras are on site and you will be contacted and possibly fined if diposing of materials illegally.

Garbage Service

The dedicated trash service is with Republic Services.

The Village of Cameron contracts with Republic Services so both Residential and Commercial properties can only use Republic Services at this time. There is a 5-year contract and this is how rates are kept low.

For 2025 the rates are:

Residential Cart Services

All residential customers must contact the Village Hall - DO NOT CONTACT REPUBLIC DIRECTLY.

95-GAL cart $15.92 / month
(2) 95-GAL cart $20.39 / month

Commercial Dumpster Services

All Commercial customers may contact Republic Services directly.

Recycling

We encourage the use of the Recycling Site which is located 1/2 block north of W Main St on N 6th Street just south of the railroad tracks. Please follow the recycling labels and place reycling items in the proper bins. Cameras are on site.

Note: Please please please break down all cardboard. This allows continued use of this service for other people. Please be considerate of others.
